​A very important thing that some people might forget when planning a party, wedding or event is a proper waste management system.  This includes providing trash cans and recycling cans for your guests to use.  When it comes to planning an event, choosing flowers, food and decorations sometimes overshadows the thought of how you will manage the waste that you and your guests will undoubtedly produce at your event.  If you will be serving food, snacks and drinks, you and your guests might need to throw away uneaten food, used napkins, used cups, used utensils and more throughout your event.  If you do not have enough waste or trash cans in areas where your guests will need to toss something away, you might be left with a giant mess to clean up and the ambiance at your event will quickly go bad.  Some areas where you might need trash or recycling cans are:

We all know that to help our planet, we should reduce, reuse and recycle as much as possible.  Recycling at your event will reduce the amount of waste you send to the landfill and can reduce pollution.  To make recycling recyclable cups, glass bottles, plastic bottles and aluminum cans easier for you and your guests, consider renting one or a few of our Recycling Can Rentals and placing them next to your trash cans so people know that they should sort their waste.  Our 23 Gallon Slim Jim Recycling Can Rentals are blue in color and are clearly marked with the universal recycling symbol.  Place these cans near your event area, food station or bar setups for easy use.  You might also want to add a Recycling Can Lid to your rental order which fits on top of our 23 Gallon Recycling Can and has two holes to allow easy passage of recyclable cups, cans or bottles.  Some recyclable items you can use with our recycling can rentals are:
  • Aluminum Cans:   Providing beer, juice and sodas in aluminum cans is a great choice for backyard parties and other outdoor events.  All aluminum cans can be recycled an infinite number of times which makes them a great choice for events where you do not want to provide reusable cups for your guests.
  • Plastic Bottles:  Bottled water in recyclable plastic bottles. 
  • Cups:  Some paper or plastic cups are recyclable and others are not.  To reduce your waste and pollution, provide your guests with recyclable cups if necessary.
